Mrs. Betty Ann "Jeri" Somers, 83, Salina, KS passes away Friday, February 19, 2008. Betty Ann "Jeri" Stevens was born in Culver, KS on June 26, 1924, the daoughter of the late Thomas and Mary Magalene "Mame" Stevens. She worked in Salina as a food demonstrator for the Dillions Stores, at Tony's Pizza as a test tester, and as a bookkeeper for numerous coompanies int he area. She was also a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Salina. She was united marriage to Mr. Dean L. Somers on September 9, 1972 in her home in Salina. "Jeri" is survived by her husband, Dean of the home; three sons, Terry W. Day and wife Pam of Punta Gorda, Florida, L. Rodger Day of Miami, Florida, and Randy Day and wife Robyn of Denver, CO; two stepdaughters, DeeAnn G. Rolph and husband Jack of Deplhos, KS and Trudy K. Baoko of Omaha, NE; a stepson, Terry D. Somers and wife Marica of Mt. Hope, KS eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Jeri's memory to the First Church of the Nazarene, Salina, KS or to the donor's choice. |
